The selected candidate will work closely with QPO Energy’s Chief Technology Officer to develop the company’s new battery energy storage products. The preferred candidate is a well-rounded individual, who enjoys working in a variety of areas under compressed timelines and priority changes, has an appetite for innovation in the battery energy storage industry, and can add value in all stages of the new product design cycle.

Who You Are:

Hands-on experience with low voltage electrical equipment
-
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and diagrams, electrical schematics, and flow charts
-
Familiarity with engineering drawing software such as AutoCAD, Siemens NX, or similar software program
-
Creativity and analytical skills
-
Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner

Technical writing skills
-
BSc degree in Engineering

Hands-on experience with battery energy storage systems

Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, Excel, LabView etc)

What You’ll Do:

Participate in full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement).

Specify electrical components that meet product needs and requirements

Suggest and recommend produce design changes to improve product

Conduct experiments methodically, analyze data and interpret results

Test and evaluate prototype product designs

Hands-on interaction with relevant test equipment and products is expected - This may be in the form of lab testing, full-scale testing, and field testing

Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems

Evaluate final product’s overall performance, reliability, and safety

Prepare product reports and documentation
